Arthur: You need to get out of here, the King’s ordered me to arrest you.

Merlin: What? 

Arthur: Catrina’s accused you of taking her seal.

Merlin: But I didn’t.

Arthur: I don’t want to know and you haven’t got time to explain. If you value your life, you’ll leave Camelot right now.

Merlin: But- Arthu- She is a troll! She’s trying to set me up! 

Arthur: We’ve been through this.

Merlin: I’m telling the truth. I saw her!

Arthur: I don’t care, you need to leave, Merlin! Go! Go!

What I love most about this moment is that on hearing Merlin is a thief and needs to be arrested, Arthur’s immediate reaction isn’t ‘Merlin’s done something wrong and needs to be punished’ it’s ‘Oh my god I need to get Merlin out of here, I don’t care if he’s gone something wrong or not, I won’t let them hurt him’. You can see by Arthur’s face as Merlin runs away that he doesn’t want Merlin to leave him, but Arthur knows it’s the only way to ensure Merlin’s safety. What I also love is that in this moment Arthur picked Merlin over the King, his own father, and consequently Camelot.
